Data Comparison
This feature allows you to compare two columns of data using different criteria, making it easy to identify differences or matches. It is accessed from the EasySheet Pro ribbon and opens a side panel for column selection.
Notes
The worksheet must have headers in the first row
For conditional comparison, an operator (<, >, followed by a value must be specified
For numeric comparison, both values must be recognized as numbers
Available Operations
Choose from five comparison modes:
- Exact Match
Checks if values are identical
- Case-Insensitive Comparison
Ignores uppercase/lowercase differences
- Partial Match
Searches for common substrings
- Numeric Comparison
Compares values as numbers
- Conditional Comparison
Compares based on specified conditions (e.g., >50)
How to Use
- Open the side panel
- Choose whether to create a new sheet with the results or modify the original sheet
- Cells with differences are highlighted in red
- A summary is displayed, showing the total number of differences found
- If a new sheet is created, it is named “Comparison Result” followed by a timestamp
